New legal duties phased in from October 2012 require employers to Auto Enrol their eligible jobholders into a qualifying scheme.

7 Steps:

1. Know your staging date.
2. Asses your workers to establish which of three categories they fall into.
3. review your current pension scheme for eligibility or choose a government backed scheme.
4. Communicate with your workforce.
5. Auto enrol jobholders.
6. Register compliance with the Pensions Regulator.
7. Contribute into the pension scheme.
